Julie, our lead singer, is a Lehigh Valley native who is a veteran of the Lehigh Valley music and band scene. She started singing as a teenager and landed her first audition and band with Pearl in 1981. Julie has sang with Steve Brosky and The Shindigs, The Treatment, the Coyote Buttons and The Cut Offs, a band she established. Julie counts the Beatles and The Stones as major influences in her musical style. Julie provides lead vocals, background vocals and harmonies as well as percussion to the sounds of The Prizms.
Frank, our keyboard player, started playing when he was 6 years old. When he was learning piano, his dad, who was an accomplished violinist and conductor, would come up behind him and start playing the violin. Frank also took jazz piano lessons at the University of Illinois and at Antelope Junior College in Southern California. Frank has played for many years at bars, military service clubs, weddings, music festivals including Musikfest and other venues. His influences, while many, include The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, Chicago, Three Dog Night, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, The Crusaders, The Rolling Stones and The Who. Frank brings creative arrangement and instrumentation to the sounds of The Prizms.
Erin, our bass player, hails from the Philly area. From piano, to guitar and now bass, Erin got the bug to re-enter the band scene several years ago. She has performed on stage, studio and video with bands such as Don Julio, Iron Tree, Alchemy and with touring Blues drummer/percussionist Tom Delorenzo. As a lover of both electric and acoustic music, Erin has also been learning to play the banjo and the mandolin.
Joe, our lead guitarist, has been playing guitar for over 25 years. Joe's biggest guitar influnces include Danny Gatton, Mark Knopfler, Joe Pass and many others. Joe has studied rock and blues intently, flirted with country and is currently continuing his jazz studies. Joe brings incredible passion and raw emotion to the sounds of The Prizms.
Jim, our drummer, was born and raised in California. Jim wanted to play drums for as long as he can remember. His varied musical background and styles include stage band, psychedelic, disco and hard rock. He played music for a living for about 10 years and did a few tours of the Midwest and numerous recording sessions. With The Prizms, Jim has been able to go full circle and play the kind of music he loves most - Classic Rock.
Jerry, our rhythm guitarist, is an experienced and accomplished music veteran who originally hails from northern New Jersey. Jerry has been playing guitar and piano for over 40 years. Jerry has played bass, guitar and keyboards with northern NJ bands including The Knighriders, Ezra and Lewis Carroll. He has also played piano at weddings and other entertainment venues. Jerry has been inspired by the music of the British invasion including The Beatles, The Searchers, The Hollies and The Stones, along with the southern rock sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd,, The Allman Brothers and ZZ Top. Jerry brings a lot of creativity and orchestration to the sound and rhythmic pulse of The Prizms.
